What these IB tutoring reviews show
The reviews below are grouped by subject area because IB tutoring outcomes depend heavily on the kind of support a student needs. Some families come to IB Doctor for rapid exam preparation, others need sustained help with HL content, and many students need precise coursework feedback on IAs, Extended Essays, ToK essays or oral assessments. Reading by category helps parents compare situations that are closer to their own.
We include a range of subjects, schools and improvement stories so the page is useful beyond a single headline rating. Strong tutoring should improve confidence, structure and independence, not just short-term marks. The most useful reviews are the ones that describe what changed: clearer explanations, better essay judgement, stronger markscheme awareness, more focused revision or a better plan for deadlines.
"The tutor was excellent with explanations and pacing. We probably started a bit later than ideal, but my son still came out much more confident."
Daniel K.

"My tutor made the hard topics feel manageable. The diagrams and past paper drills helped more than anything we did in class."
Oliver H.
Biology HL · Dulwich College
"Our daughter stopped panicking about Chemistry after two or three sessions. Clear teaching, good structure, and very reliable."
David W.

"I finally understood electricity instead of just memorising mark schemes. The sessions were focused and never felt rushed."
Maya C.
Physics SL · Hurtwood House
"Really helpful for Paper 2 and my case study notes. My tutor was especially good at showing how to turn loose ideas into proper answers."
Leo P.

"I had a topic, but no idea how to make it workable. My tutor helped me narrow it down and fix the analysis section without overcomplicating it."
