About
I have a strong academic background and a passion for helping students reach their full potential. I achieved 43 points in the IB, including a 7 in each subject I tutor, an A in TOK and 3 core points, so I understand first-hand the pressures of the IB! During the IB, I was a peer tutor, supporting fellow students and sharing the techniques and strategies that helped me succeed. I have also worked as a one-to-one reading tutor and assisted in classrooms, developing a patient, engaging and adaptable teaching style. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, focusing on their strengths, areas for improvement and learning style. I also share practical tips from my own IB experience to help students work effectively, approach exams with confidence and manage the demands of the course. Alongside my IB experience, I achieved a First Class degree in English Literature from Durham University and am currently completing an MA Law (Conversion). I particularly enjoy helping students develop their essay writing, critical thinking and analytical skills through supportive, engaging and goal-focused lessons.
