Lizzie

About Me: Hi! I'm Lizzie, a current medical student at University College London (UCL) and an IB graduate with a full score of 45. I identify vividly with the whirlwind of juggling assessments, university applications, interviews, and the ever-present pressure to perform, so I’m especially keen to support students who are in the same place I once was. I have experience tutoring both one-on-one and in classroom settings, having worked at Kumon, Cambly, and through volunteer-led mentoring programs at UCL. I take joy in helping students not only understand difficult concepts but also feel more confident in their abilities. I truly believe learning should feel manageable and fun—with the right guidance. I specialise in tutoring IB subjects, particularly Biology, Chemistry, and Math, and I'm always happy to help with Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and university preparation. Whether it’s breaking down complex content, improving exam technique, or being a sounding board for school or uni worries, I aim to be both an academic tutor and a supportive mentor. Above all, I believe in the mission of the IB: to foster learners who are curious, balanced, and globally minded. I hope to help my students not just succeed, but to grow into thinkers who see the value of what they’re learning. Tutoring Style My approach is to start with a lesson getting to know you and your goals. Whether you’re aiming for top marks or just need help making sense of the material, I’m here to help chart a personalised path for you. I also provide exam tips, resources, and structured study strategies that worked for me. Let’s work together to turn your goals into reality—and hopefully enjoy the process along the way!
