Nicholas

As a licensed educator with over a decade of experience, I have successfully supported students through A-Levels and the IB Diploma Programme, specializing in IB History and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) across both classroom and virtual environments. My work is consistently dedicated to fostering strong academic outcomes, with a significant number of my students achieving top scores of 6 and 7 in IB History. To ensure this success, I develop tailored revision plans that strategically emphasize past paper practice, meticulous mark scheme analysis, and effective time-management techniques, directly addressing common academic challenges such as essay structuring and source evaluation. I hold a Bachelor of Education in History and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in History, ensuring my teaching is continuously informed by advanced scholarship. My approach is fundamentally centered on cultivating critical thinking, rigorous research proficiency, and the ability to construct coherent, evidence-based arguments. This is applied through expert guidance on core curriculum components including the Extended Essay, TOK exhibitions, and IGCSE Global Perspectives Individual Reports. Complementing my instructional practice, I serve as an examiner for the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge International, and Pearson. This role provides me with an authoritative understanding of assessment criteria, which I leverage to offer targeted, strategic support. Through dedicated one-on-one tutoring, I deliver personalized instruction designed to help each student not only exceed their academic goals but also achieve profound intellectual growth.
