Subject and level conditions

- The additional examination in biology and environmental studies is waived for Veterinary Medicine and for Biomedicine and Biotechnology, because biology/natural science knowledge is already covered in the selection procedure.
How to apply
The IB Diploma is listed as one accepted proof of general university entrance qualification for the Diploma Programme in Veterinary Medicine and the Bachelor's Programme in Biomedicine and Biotechnology. The exact admission route depends on citizenship and the country where the school leaving certificate was obtained. Admission requirements are checked at in-person admission after the selection procedure results are announced.
Language requirements
- The Master's Programme in Evolutionary Genomics and Systems Biology is taught only in English and requires English at level B2 (CEFR).
- The extension programme in initial consultation and care of the small animal patient requires German at level B2 (CEFR) for people whose first language is not German.
- If there is no proof of sufficient German knowledge, supplementary examinations must be taken before admission to the degree programme.

- Diploma Programme in Veterinary Medicine (selection procedure)
- Bachelor's Programme in Biomedicine and Biotechnology (selection procedure)

- Documents not issued in German or English need a translation by a court-certified translator.
- Documents from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland need the certifications prescribed for the country of issue.
