Studying at TU Braunschweig with the IB

• Applicants should check in good time, before starting upper secondary school, which subjects at which level their intended degree programme requires, since these must be taken in the final two years of school.
• The KMK (Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs) requirements for the IB must be met.

IB applicants apply through the online application process; the application is forwarded directly to the Incoming Office at the International House, because the IB is treated as a Swiss school-leaving qualification regardless of where it was obtained.

• Most IB applicants must provide evidence of German language proficiency.
• Applicants with a bilingual IB are exempt from the German language evidence requirement.
• If German was taken at Higher Level in the IB and is an examination subject, the university assesses case by case whether further evidence is required.
